I am very happy with the design,
which was created by
Alex Paise at Rowanvale Books.
Alex created some original pen and ink artwork based on some cryptic ideas I had
for the cover. This was one of the designs that I liked, mainly because it feels
more organic than the traditional steampunk/victorian ideas from the others.

A bit of history
I've had the idea of writing a novel for many years now. I have on occasion put
some ideas down on paper (actual dead tree, you know the stuff), but never followed
up on them. Last year (2013) I had an idea and started typing away. It wasn't what
I was expecting!
I had thought that this would just be a bit of fun and that it wouldn't go anywhere.
Then I managed to knock out five thousand words. I wondered where the story was
going. So I wrote some more. Before I knew it, I'd written fifteen THOUSAND words!
I had a break.
A few months later, after the hectic time we call Christmas and New Year, I picked
up where I'd left off with a fresh set of eyes and some new ideas.
I'm pleased to say that I have decided to work with Rowanvale Books Ltd for the publication of my first novel.
It has been a pleasure dealing with them so far and I like their ethics with regards
to book publishing. If you are looking for a publisher that does A LOT for YOUR
money, I would recommend taking a look at their offering.
My book has been classified as a Crime Thriller. The (choice) dictionary definitions of the words are below (reference Collins
an evil act
a book, film, play, etc, depicting crime, mystery, or espionage in an atmosphere
